Update 01 July 2020
Added on 01 July 2020
Currently the Findhorn West Beach Car Park is partially open for cars only. There are no toilet facilities. Please follow the Scottish Outdoor Code.
If the car park is full please do not block access roads around the village.
Unfortunately, we are not able to open the West Beach Car Park for overnight stays for motorhomes. This is due to no toilet facilities and we are awaiting decision on our Change of Use planning application with Moray Council. We appreciate that this will be disappointing, we hope that we will be able to update you soon on planning application progress.
The East Beach Car Park remains NO OVERNIGHT parking
The Dunes Road is not suitable for vehicles. Pedestrians, cycles and wheels access with care.
Litter bins are limited, if possible, please take your litter home. If not possible please ensure litter is put into a bin, if the bins are full do not leave beside bin, take home or find a bin with capacity. We are working with Moray Council to have extra bins in place as soon as possible.
The dunes area is very dry, which heightens the fire risk, we ask that you do not have open fires above highwater line. Please respect the local environment. We have had instances of the fencing being vandalised for fires, this is not acceptable and negatively impacts it for others. If you have a disposable BBQ please ensure it is extinguished fully and that it is preferably taken home for disposal. Please do not leave on the beach, dunes or car park. They are a danger to people and wildlife.
